Growing up in a Punjabi house, parathas and raita were a staple breakfast dish. However I couldn’t ignore the fact that this delicious food was also a little unhealthy. But who knew that parathas also had another side to them which is not just tasty but also filled with nutrients? One of these is Methi Paratha which I’d like to introduce to you for your next healthy breakfast.
Methi Paratha is a whole wheat flatbread made with methi (fenugreek leaves) which adds a lot of iron content to the paratha. Crispy and soft, these parathas have a lovely fragrant aroma and a light bitterness of the fenugreek leaves. They are usually accompanied by curd, raita, butter or pickle. This recipe explains how to make these parathas at home in just 25 minutes.
