This is a no-bread breakfast and is great for weight watchers. It is yet another innovative way of feed the kids with ample nutrition without them even realising it. Ingredients
- 150 g mung dal
- 50 g brown rice flour
- One boiled potato
- 80 g mixed vegetables
- Salt, to taste
- Crushed black pepper
- Handful of chopped cilantro
- 2 tablespoon ginger, garlic and green chilli paste
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
Method
- 1)
First soak the Mung Dal in water for about 4–5 hours.

Now add the soaked Mung dal, rice flour and water in a blender.
- 3)
Blend it well and make a smooth batter. Transfer it to a bowl.
- 4)
In another bowl add mashed potatoes and vegetables.
- 5)
Add all your spices to both the bowls.
- 6)
Now divide the portions of the dry batter and make patties using your hands.
- 7)
On a pan add some oil and spread a layer of wet batter. Once it is cooked from one side, place the patty and again place a layer of wet batter on top of it.

Cover it with a lid and let it cook.

Make sure to cook it evenly until both sides turn golden brown.

Follow the same steps to cook the remaining patties.

Serve warm with any dip or green Chutney.
Notes
- I have added carrot, onion and cauliflower in this recipe but you can take any other vegetables of your choice as well.
- Always Cook the patties on low to medium heat.
